<br />Commission Minutes--March 15, 2004 <br /> <br />2703 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />MARCH 15, 2004 <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairperson Robyn Sorum called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present <br />as follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Darrell Vanyo led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting held February 17, 2004, be approved as written. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the following changes: 1) revised purchase order for the <br />Information Technology Department due to a price increase from <br />$10,009.23 to $10,616.70 for replacement of networking switches; 2) <br />accept low bid and award contract to Morris Sealcoat & Trucking for seal <br />coat on various county highways in the amount of $288,867.75; and 3) <br />add three items for Cass County Social Services. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />NATIONAL COUNTY GOVERNMENT WEEK PROCLAMATION, April 18-24. 2004 <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to authorize the chair and the <br />county auditor to sign the proclamation for National County Government <br />Week April 18-24, 2004. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />WATER RESOURCE DISTRICT, Southeast Cass Water Board budaet adiustment <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Meyer seconded to approve the budget <br />adjustment for Southeast Cass Water Resource District, according to <br />letter dated February 24, 2004, with funds to come from its general fund <br />reserves. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. <br /> <br />EXTENSION SERVICE FAMILY NUTRITION PROGRAM, Grant continuation approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Meyer seconded that the Cass County <br />Commission support the Family Nutrition Program county proposal for <br />continuation of the program from October 1, 2004-September 30, 2005, <br />pending proposal acceptance by state and federal partners. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
