APPROVAL OF 2008 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT FUNDS RECOMMENDATIONS AS APPROVED BY THE LEPC MOTION, passed Laney moved to approve the nine recommendations as approved by the LEPC. Second by Montplaisir. No discussion. Motion carried unanimously. Rogness explained that Cass County has received notice of the 2008 Homeland Security Grant funding for Cass County in the amount of $101,145. The funding has suffered a decrease from the amount awarded last year due to a reduction in state funding and an allocation of money to the regional CBRNE effort in North Dakota. The county allocation is able to fund planning, training, exercise and equipment expenses. The list of recommendations was defined by the City and County Emergency Managers as directed by the Chair of the Cass Fargo Emergency Management Board. The recommended spending plan approved by the LEPC was presented. The Emergency Management Board asked questions and provided input during the discussion. No additional projects or items were recommended and the Emergency Management Board adopted the entire recommended list.
