APPROVAL OF 2008 HOMELAND SECURITY GRANT FUNDS RECOMMENDATIONS <br />AS APPROVED BY THE LEPC <br />MOTION, passed <br />Laney moved to approve the nine recommendations as approved by the LEPC. Second <br />by Montplaisir. No discussion. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Rogness explained that Cass County has received notice of the 2008 Homeland Security <br />Grant funding for Cass County in the amount of $101,145. The funding has suffered a <br />decrease from the amount awarded last year due to a reduction in state funding and an <br />allocation of money to the regional CBRNE effort in North Dakota. The county allocation <br />is able to fund planning, training, exercise and equipment expenses. The list of <br />recommendations was defined by the City and County Emergency Managers as directed <br />by the Chair of the Cass Fargo Emergency Management Board. <br /> <br />The recommended spending plan approved by the LEPC was presented. The <br />Emergency Management Board asked questions and provided input during the <br />discussion.
