<br />Proposed Bridge Repair Contracts <br />September 15, 2008 <br /> <br />· County Currently has 19 Bridges with alert <br />code 3 deficiencies. 1 on Cass 7 others <br />on township roads. <br />· 3 of the 4 bridge contracts will correct <br />deficiencies with alert code 3 bridges <br />· Other efforts planned, ongoing or recently <br />completed in house by County crews will <br />solve several other code 3 deficiencies. <br /> <br />Proposed Repairs <br /> <br />· Proposed Repairs consist mainly of driving <br />new steel piling to replace existing rotted <br />wood piling in bridges. <br />· Highway department doesn't own the <br />crane and other equipment necessary to <br />effectively drive piling. <br /> <br />1 <br />
