The application was approved by the Commission <br />on June 16th and the funds will be shared with the Fargo Police Department under the lnterlocal <br />Agreeement signed at that time. Cass County Sheriff's Office will use $5,000.00 ofthe new <br />2008 Byrne grant funds on expenses incurred with respect to our narcotic trained canine with the <br />balance of $26,353.00 going to the Fargo Police Department. <br /> <br />This grant award was included in our 2008 budget. <br /> <br />I would ask that this be placed on your consent agenda for September 2, 2008 and that the Chair <br />be authorized to sign the grant award. <br /> <br />Sample Motion: <br /> <br />Move to accept the 2008 Justice Assistance Grant award in the amount of$31,353.00 <br />and authorized the Chair to sign the award documents.
