The State has <br />identified this as an important safety item. The State DOT will use Federal funds for <br />90% of the cost. I've proposed splitting the local cost with the City of Harwood. The <br />total estimated cost of the project is $148,163. The local cost would be $14,816 of <br />which I'm suggesting Cass County pay 50% (approximately $7,000) <br /> <br />SUGGESTED MOTION: AUTHORIZE CHAIRMAN TO SIGN CONTRACT <br />WITH THE NORTH DAKOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION TO <br />INSTALL AUTOMATED SIGNALS AT THE RAIROAD CROSSING IN TED <br />A VENUE IN HARWOOD. <br /> <br />J:\Admin-Eng\Commission Corrsp\2008 Commission Correspondence\Contract Approval Harwood RR crossing. doc <br />
