I. Horizontal Image Accuracy

Sanborn will achieve the following NMAS Accuracy Standard:

Map Scale
1 "=200'

IPixel Resolution Horizontal Accuracy
1 .O-foot 90% w/in 6.66-feet (6.66 pixels)

Sanborn performs accuracy checks by comparing orthophoto features to break-lines in the
DTM or planimetric data, as well as the edgematch between orthophotos.

II. Image Quality

A. Acceptance/Rejection Methodology

The aesthetic quality of the Orthophotography is rated separately from the spatial
accuracy tests. A single orthophoto deliverable, or tile, may warrant rejection if it fails in
any of the six categories listed below. This table is a suggested method of tracking the
quality of the Orthophotography.

Digital Orthophotography
Evaluation of Aesthetic and Functional Quality
Sample

Date:
File name:
ICateg°ry II Criteria
Ed~ematchine
Radiometric Consistency No significant differences
Brightness Features interpretable
Shadows Features interpretable
Contrast Meeting specification
Artifacts/Scratches 5 or fewer
[Overall evaluation II II

Pass/Fail

Pass
Pass
Pass
Pass
Pass
Pass
Pass

Accepted X Rejected Evaluated by

Experienced imagery technicians at computer workstations check the aesthetic and
functional quality of the imagery.

Services Agreement between The Sanborn Map Company, Inc and Cass County, North Dakota

10
