Box 2806 Fargo, ND 58108-2806 Dear Commissioners: RE: 2004 budget adjustment One of the items that the Southeast Cass Water Resource District Board did not anticipate at the time they approved their budget last summer and submitted it to the Cass County Commission, was the replacement of our accounting system. Simply put, we have outgrown our accounting system and need to modernize the way we account for financial transactions. We have looked at various systems and would like to purchase software that is also currently being used by the City of West Fargo. It is a PC based system, has the flexibility to give us the reports we need and is competitively priced. The cost of the system and maintenance is $7,800 for the first year. We respectfully request your approval to amend our budget, using our general fund reserve funds to cover the $7,800 cost.
