A review of the existing mutual aid agreements in place
with adjoining counties revealed they were last signed in 1994. The counties of Barnes,
Steele, Ransom, Richland and Clay are willing to join Cass County in these
memorandums of understanding.

This agreement does not bind Cass County to provide aid, but rather identifies the
responsibilities of the parties and establishes the mechanisms to provide disaster
assistance while qualifying for eligible federal aid to cover those costs.

Sincerely,

CWJU

Dave Rogness

SUGGESTED MOTION: I move to approve renewal of Memorandums of Understanding
for Emergency Assistance with Barnes, Steel, Ransom, Richland and Clay counties.
