4a. Board of prisoners contracts

CASS can such detention and housing be at the rate hereinbefore specified. If CASS was to assume additional liability, without indemnification as stated above, for the prisoners of LAMOURE, the costs being paid by LAMOURE to CASS for such housing and detention would be substantially more. 8. Inspection of JAIL: LAMOURE reserves the right to enter the JAIL at reasonable hours for the purpose of inspecting the same and determining the conditions under which the prisoners are housed. Nothing herein shall be construed to absolve LAMOURE from its statutory and common law obligations toward the prisoners of LAMOURE who may be housed in the JAIL. 9. Compliance with Laws: CASS shall comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and policies, including but not limited to those relating to nondiscrimination, accessibility, and civil rights. CASS shall ensure that it will at all times during the term of this agreement and any extensions thereof be in full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (Public Law 101-336). 10. Return of Offenders to LAMOURE: In the event that an inmate housed in the JAIL causes a major disturbance, becomes unmanageable, or becomes uneconomical for CASS, CASS may request that the offender be removed by LAMOURE. II. Captions: The captions or headings in this agreement are for convenience only and in no way define, limit or describe the scope or intent of any of the provisions of this agreement.
