1. Extension Service recruitment process

The following information outlines the Extension Agent recruitment and selection process scheduled for the July 7 Cass County Commission meeting: - Brad Cogdill resign from Extension Agent and Chair/Cass County to accept position as Chair, Center for 4-H Youth Development and District Director/Cass and Richland counties effective Aug. 1, 2008. - Appoint new Chair/Cass County from the existing Cass County Extension staff effective Aug. 1, 2008. - Conduct a search to fill the Extension Agent/Cass County position after determining programming responsibilities in concert with the Cass County Extension staff and county commissioners. Representation from the Cass County Extension Advisory Council is solicited and includes providing feedback on the draft position description and serving on the search committee. - Procedures follow the NDSU Policy Manual. Extension Agents are considered Academic Staff of the university. For Extension Agent positions, the District Director conducts the recruitment consistent with SECTION 103.1: RECRU ITMENT FOR EXECUTIVE/ADMINISTRATIVE/MANAGERIAL, ACADEMIC STAFF AND OTHER NON-BANDED POSITIONS (0000, 1000 and 2000 positions).
