The attached calendar sets the <br />important dates that we need to be mindful of as we work through preparing the <br />2009 budget. <br /> <br />Budgets are never easy, there are always more needs than we can afford, however, <br />and the county continues to have strong economic growth. Over the past five years <br />we have averaged 9% growth in taxable valuation, that growth will probably be <br />down to about 4% to 5% this year.
