<br />a. The outlet pipe from the septic tank must not be <br />cast in iron. <br /> <br />b. The outlet pipe extending from the septic tank <br />must be of sound and durable construction, not <br />subject to corrosion or decay. <br /> <br />c. The outlet pipe extending from the septic tank to <br />the undisturbed soil beyond the tank must meet <br />the strength requirements of the American <br />Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), <br />schedule 30-34 plastic pipe and must be <br />supported in a manner that there is no deflection <br />during the backfilling and subsequent settling of <br />the soil between the edge of the septic tank and <br />the edge of the excavation. <br /> <br />d. The soil around the pipe extending from the <br />septic tank must be compacted to original density <br />for a length of 3 feet beyond the edge of the tank <br />excavation. <br /> <br />17. Capacity <br /> <br />a.
