VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve Voucher No. <br />224,993 through Voucher No. 225,356. CENTRAL PERSONNEL BOARD MEETING; COURTHOUSE BUILDING ADDITION; <br />JAIL FIRE ALARMS; SOCIAL SERVICES DIRECTOR POSITION, Committee reports <br />Mrs. Johnson said she, Mr. Pawluk and State's Attorney Birch Burdick attended a <br />committee meeting of the Central Personnel Board in Bismarck on Monday, March 10th. <br />The board voted 3-2 for the Cass County Social Services Director position to remain part of <br />the state merit system. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said the planning process for a new building addition began last week when <br />space consultants visited and held interviews with department heads and commissioners. <br />Mr. Montplaisir said all areas of the Courthouse were photographed and the consultants will <br />take pictures of the Annex during their next visit. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson, Sheriff Laney, and State's Attorney Birch Burdick attended a meeting this <br />morning with Simplex representatives regarding the failure of the fire alarms at the Cass <br />County Jail. A comprehensive fire alarm test will be done within the next two weeks to <br />ensure the entire system is working. <br /> <br />Mrs. Sorum said the job announcement has been drafted for the Social Services director <br />position. Mrs. Johnson reviewed the draft and has a few minor changes. Commissioners <br />were in agreement to proceed with the process and directed Mrs. Johnson to work with <br />Kathy Hogan, Social Services Director, on revisions to the job announcement. <br /> <br />13. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br /> <br />- memo from Lake Agassiz Regional Council regarding the Community Development <br />Block Grant Program FY 2008; <br />- State Public Service Commission Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law and Order <br />regarding a siting application for construction of a crude oil pipeline and associated <br />facilities in Cavalier, Pembina, Walsh, Nelson, Steele, Barnes, Ransom and Sargent <br />Counties of North Dakota by TransCanada Keystone Pipeline, LP; <br />North Dakota Department of Transportation 2007 functional classification system maps <br />for Cass County (copies also sent to county engineer); <br />
