<br />CASS COUNTY <br />COMMISSION POLICY MANUAL <br /> <br />SUBJECT: LIMITED DELEGATION OF POWERS <br /> <br />13.71 <br /> <br />ADOPTED DATE: JANUARY 5, 2004 <br /> <br />PAGE 1 OF 1 <br /> <br />The county commission authorizes the commission chair, or the vice chair in the chair's <br />absence, to review any of the following items without a full meeting of the commission. <br />The chair, or the vice chair in the chair's absence, is authorized to approve related permit, <br />disapprove the permit, request a special meeting for the commission to address the item, <br />or postpone a decision until the next regularly scheduled commission meeting. Any permit <br />approved in this manner shall have the same effect as if approved by the full commission. <br />Any permit that is approved or disapproved in this manner shall be placed on the agenda at <br />the next regularly scheduled commission meeting for general review purposes. <br /> <br />The permits that may be approved or disapproved in this manner are limited to the <br />following circumstances: <br /> <br />1. Permits for serving alcohol at special events or for use on Sunday, <br />pursuant to N.D.C.C. 5-02-01.1 and 5 02 5.1 5-02-05.1, respectively. <br /> <br />2. Local permits for gaming purposes, pursuant to N.D.C.C. 52 06.1 03 53-06.1-03. <br /> <br />3. Permits for the public display of fireworks, pursuant to N.D.C.C. 23-15-03. <br /> <br />All other related statutory requirements must be met. <br /> <br />HISTORICAL REFERENCE DATE: <br /> <br />January 5, 2004 <br />
