<br />Commission Minutes-November 19, 2007 3294 <br /> <br />PLANNING MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />NOVEMBER 19, 2007 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Commissioners met for a planning meeting at 4:35 PM on Monday, November 19, 2007, in <br />the Commission Room at the Courthouse. Members present were Scott Wagner, Ken <br />Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo and Vern Bennett. Robyn Sorum was absent. Also present were <br />Bonnie Johnson, County Administrator; and Heather Worden, Administrative Assistant. <br /> <br />2. CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR NOMINATIONS <br />Commissioners discussed the chairman and vice chairman positions. The names will be <br />forwarded to the agenda for the first meeting in December, which is December 3,2007. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to nominate Ken Pawluk, <br />the current vice chairman, to serve as Cass County Commission <br />Chairman for the term of December 3, 2007 through December 1, 2008. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to nominate Robyn Sorum <br />to serve as Cass County Commission Vice Chair for the term of <br />December 3, 2007 through December 1, 2008. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3. PORTFOLIOS, COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS, MEETING DATES <br />Commissioners discussed portfolio assignments for the upcoming year, as well as other <br />board and committee assignments, including outside agency representation. The board will <br />take formal action at the first meeting in December. <br /> <br />Mr. Bennett suggested the commissioner with the Human Services portfolio for the year <br />serve as the representative on the Board of Health. <br /> <br />No changes were suggested for the regular board meetings or the rotational meetings with <br />county department heads. <br /> <br />4.
