<br />Commission Minutes--January 5, 2004 2683 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JANUARY 5, 2004 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Scott Wagner led the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the last <br />regular meeting and minutes of the informal meeting held December 15, <br />2003, be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda as printed. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. COMMISSION CHAIR AND VICE CHAIR, Elected for 2004 <br />Commissioners discussed the chair and vice chair positions at the planning meeting held on <br />December 15, 2003. Mr. Wagner called three times for further nominations and hearing <br />none, he declared the nominations closed. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to elect Commissioner <br />Robyn Sorum as Cass County Commission Chair for 2004 and to elect <br />Commissioner Darrell Vanyo as Vice Chair for 2004. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Sorum presided over the remainder of <br />the meeting. <br /> <br />6. COMMISSION MEETING DATES/ROTATIONAL MEETINGS/ROBERT'S RULES OF <br />ORDER/DESIGNATE PARLIAMENTARIAN <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to adopt the 2004 Cass <br />County Commission meeting schedule as the first and third Monday of <br />each month (Tuesday, if Monday is a holiday) at 3:30 PM, with rotational <br />meetings at 2:00 PM on Commission meeting days, and special meetings <br />as called, and to forward a copy of the meeting schedule to the Secretary <br />of State and the County Auditor's Office; to adopt Robert's Rules of <br />Order for conducting meetings; and to appoint Joyce Schepp as <br />parliamentarian for Cass County Commission proceedings for 2004. On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. PERSONNEL POLICY MANUAL, Amend Section 1.30, Commissioner Portfolios <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to amend Personnel Policy <br />Manual Section 1.30, Commissioner Portfolios, as follows: On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
