This list shows properties as of
October 5th with 2002 taxes still owing and tax deeds have been recorded
transferring ownership to the county. These properties can still be paid by the
former owners through payment of all five years of taxes plus any interest,
penalty, and other costs. The list does not show the minimum sales price
recommended by the County Auditor and County Director of Equalization. The
minimum sales price recommendation will be supplied after Frank Klein, Director
of Equalization, has a chance to inspect the properties.

The minimum sales price generally must be at least as much as the estimated
taxes, specials, penalties, interest and costs from the 2002 through the 2007 tax
years. In some cases we may recommend a lower minimum sales price due to the
condition of the property. In most cases we will make a recommendation at a
discounted fair market value. We discount by the market values based on the
county issuing a deed that transfers our interest in the property, not necessarily
clear title.

Two properties in Argusville forfeited for taxes, were deeded back to the school
district that sold the properties in 2001 under a law enacted following our taking
of the Buffalo School building a few years ago.

Once the minimum sales price is set, we will send a letter to the city auditors and
township clerks where property is located informing them of the minimum sales
price and of the hearing date and time on the minimum sales price.

Property owners have until the auction date to redeem their property by paying
the total of taxes, interest, penalties, and costs for the back taxes before the
auction date. The public auction under state law is set for the third Tuesday in
November, which this year is November 20th.

Sincerely,
. -- // ~ k.#/ .-+./5)
tfb -C.f/ ~~?4~~~
Mi~ontplaiSir
County Auditor

SUGGESTED MOTION:
Move to set the minimum sales price as recommended by the County Auditor and
County Director or Equalization.

OR
Move to set the minimum sales price as recommended by the County Auditor and
County Director of Equalization with the following exceptions.
