<br />.",\\00 <br />\', <br />*1' <br />f'EMER~CY <br />\..)r'-'M!:N"AnEMENT <br /> <br /> <br />RECEIVED <br />SEP 20 20011 <br /> <br />CASS COUNTY COMMISSION <br /> <br />September 20, 2007 <br /> <br />Board of Commissioners <br />Cass County Government <br />211 9 Street South <br />Fargo, North Dakota <br /> <br />Dear Commissioners, <br /> <br />Cass County has been awarded $224,237 in 2007 Homeland Security grant funds and <br />$93,644 in 2007 Law Enforcement Terrorism Prevention grant funds. These grant funds <br />are available to all emergency response and government support agencies in Cass <br />County. On August 29, Cass Fargo Emergency Mangement conducted a local applicant <br />briefing for eligible entities inviting them to apply for these grant funds. Applications <br />were due on September 7 and were forwarded to the Local Emergency Planning <br />Committee for review. <br /> <br />On September 17, 2007 the Cass County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) <br />met to review fifteen grant applications. On that same date, a panel representing Cass <br />County Sheriff, Fargo Police Department, and West Fargo Police Departments met to <br />determine their spending plan for the LETPP funds. <br /> <br />On September 24 the Cass Fargo Emergency Management Board met and reviewed the <br />recommended spending plans. The EM Board approved the plans and voted to forward <br />them to the Cass County Commission and Fargo City Commission for approval and <br />adoption. <br /> <br />Attached is the recommended spending plan. <br /> <br />Recommended Motion: I move to approve the 2007 Homeland Security and 2007 Law <br />Enforcement Terrorism Prevention Program Grant spending plans for Cass County. <br /> <br />Dave Rogness <br />
