The purpose of the grant is to provide funding for improvements to forensic science and coroner services. The Cass County Coroner’s Office would like to apply for $98,000 to cover the cost of International Association of Coroner and Medical Examiner Accreditation, purchasing of two mobile digital fingerprint scanners, and purchasing of one Randox MultiSTAT toxicology analyzer. There is no match requirement on this grant. <br /> SUGGESTED MOTION: <br />Authorize the Coroner’s Office to complete the application to the 2024 BJA Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Grant for a total amount of $98,000. <br />Natalie Basta, M.S, D-ABMDI Deputy Coroner
