<br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
<br />JUNE 3, 2024
<br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER
<br />Chairman Chad M. Peterson called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as
<br />follows: Tony Grindberg, Duane Breitling, Jim Kapitan, Mary Scherling, and Chad M. Peterson.
<br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
<br />Taylor Kaushagen led the Pledge of Allegiance.
<br />3. MINUTES APPROVED
<br />MOTION, passed
<br />Mrs. Scherling moved and Mr. Breitling seconded that the minutes of the
<br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried.
<br />4. AGENDA, Order approved
<br />MOTION, passed
<br />Mr. Grindberg moved and Mr. Kapitan seconded to amend the order of the
<br />agenda with the addition of item g. Authorize raffle permit for Peace Academy to
<br />the consent agenda. Motion carried.
<br />5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED
<br />MOTION, passed
<br />Mrs. Scherling moved and Mr. Breitling seconded to approve the consent
<br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
<br />a. Authorize purchase of Walk N Roll Packer from Lycox Enterprises, Inc. in the amount of$36,640
<br />for the Highway Department.
<br />b. Accept the findings and recommendations of the Cass County Planning Commission and staff
<br />and approve the final plat for Erdmann Subdivision on the condition that access to the existing
<br />property is modified to comply with the Cass County Highway Access Ordinance, as the proposal
<br />meets the goals and objectives of the Cass County Comprehensive Plan, the Cass County
<br />Highway Access Plan, the Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance, the Cass County Subdivision
<br />Ordinance, and all other applicable regulations.
<br />c. Grant a site authorization permit to conduct games of chance under license issued by the North
<br />Dakota Attorney General's Office on January 18, 2025, for Cass County Wildlife Club at
<br />Bonanzaville USA in West Fargo; grant site authorization permit to conduct games of chance
<br />under license issued by the North Dakota Attorney General's Office from June 1, 2024, to July
<br />30, 2025, for the West Fargo Hockey Association at the Shooting Park in Horace, North Dakota;
<br />grant site authorization permits to conduct games of chance under license issued by the North
<br />Dakota Attorney General's Office for the period of July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, for
<br />Veterans, Incorporated at Bronco Bar in Chaffee, North Dakota.
<br />d. Approve a special event permit for Jack Nick LLC d/b/a Knickerbocker Liquor Locker to serve
<br />alcoholic beverages during the hours of 5:00 PM on June 29, 2024, to 2:00 AM on June 30,
<br />2024, for a wedding reception/dance at 409 1st Avenue in Hickson, North Dakota; approve
<br />special event permit for Jack Nick LLC d/b/a Knickerbocker Liquor Locker to serve alcoholic
<br />beverages during the hours of 2:00 PM on July 20, 2024, to 2:00 AM on July 21, 2024, for a
<br />reunion at 409 1st Avenue in Hickson, North Dakota; approve a special event permit for
<br />Downtown Tavern d/b/a The Boiler Room to serve alcoholic beverages on June 10, 2024, during
<br />the hours of 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM for Emerging Prairie Ag Day at Grand Farm, 3729 153rd Ave
<br />SE in Wheatland, North Dakota; approve a special event permit for Downtown Tavern d/b/a The
<br />Boiler Room to serve alcoholic beverages on June 12, 2024, during the hours of 3:00 PM to 6:00
<br />PM for Emerging Prairie Ag Day at Grand Farm, 3729 153rd Ave SE in Wheatland, North
<br />Dakota.
