2 <br /> <br />Drain #37 Improvement Project No. 2022-01 <br />Mr. Hanson updated the Board on the status of right of way acquisitions regarding Drain <br />#37 Improvement Project No. 2022-01. <br /> <br />Following a brief discussion, it was moved by Manager Melvin and seconded by Manager <br />Miller to approve and authorize the Chairman to sign the following: <br />• Purchase Agreement with David and Teresa Braaten <br />• Purchase Agreement with Eunice Johnson, et al. <br />Upon roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Drain #39 Improvement Project No. 2023-01 <br />Brady Woodard provided project updates for Drain #39 Improvement Project No. 2023- <br />01. Mr. Woodard stated discussions with property owners have included lengthening of <br />an approach, section line and road concerns and the need for surveying the road. Once <br />the survey is completed, a discussion can be held with the Township regarding the road. <br /> <br />Alexa Ducioame stated the cost-share application was submitted but understood it was <br />pulled from the consent agenda on the 11th. Chairman Olson confirmed the item was <br />removed from the agenda and will be moved to the June meeting in hopes that any <br />landowner issues have been resolved. <br /> <br />Lynchburg-Buffalo Project No. 2023-01 <br />Ms. Ducioame stated to the Board that the cost-share application has been submitted to <br />the North Dakota Department of Water Resources for the Lynchburg-Buffalo Project No. <br />2023-01 and Moore Engineering, Inc. continues to work on permitting for the project. <br /> <br />Cornell Township Drainage Improvement District No. 80 <br />Ms. Ducioame reported to the Board that Moore Engineering, Inc. continues to work with <br />the petitioners on finalizing the petitioner’s preferred design alternative for Cornell <br />Township Drainage Improvement District No. 80. Once the petitioners have finalized the <br />preferred design alternative, work can begin on forming the assessment district for the <br />project. <br /> <br />Sean Fredricks stated that due to SB 2372, a joint water resource district with Barnes <br />County Water Resource District may be required for the project. <br /> <br />Davenport Flood Risk Reduction Project <br />Property owner Ron Geerdes had an opportunity to address the Board with his comments <br />and counteroffer regarding right of way negotiations for the Davenport Flood Risk <br />Reduction Project. <br /> <br />After discussion, Manager Melvin moved to accept the counteroffer from Mr. Geerdes and <br />authorize the Board Attorney to draft a Purchase Agreement regarding Mr. Geerdes <br />property. Manager Miller seconded the motion. Upon roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
