Wilson
Date: January 31, 2024 Subject: Cass County Cemetery Board
__________________________________________________________________________________ In October the Commission created and appointed initial members to the County Cemetery Board. Initially appointed members included Administrator Robert Wilson, Buildings and Grounds Supervisor Gene Gartner, Coroner Kriste Ross, Human Service Zone Director Gail Bollinger and Commissioner Mary Scherling. Initially there were three Cemetery Board positions left vacant due to a lack of applicants: two community
representative positions and one local funeral director position. The Administration Office has now received two applications for the community representative spots and one application for the local funeral director spot. The community representative applicants are: Kristin Roers of Fargo and Nicole Geist of Casselton. The local funeral director applicant is Hannah Blazinski-Cuhel of Boulger Funeral Homes in Fargo.
The Community representative applications have been reviewed and recommended for appointment by the Cemetery Committee that held its first meeting on Friday, January 26th. The funeral director’s application was received after the meeting.
SUGGESTED MOTION: Amend Commission Policy Manual Section 4.00 Advisory Boards, and appoint Kristin Roers, Nicole Geist, and Hannah Blazinski-Cuhel to the Cass County Cemetery Board.
