Commission Minutes—July 5, 2023 5741 <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Grindberg moved and Mr. Kapitan seconded to authorize a budget <br />adjustment raising the repair/maintenance budget from $350,000 to $450,000 for <br />2023. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Breitling moved and Mr. Grindberg seconded to authorize and sign the <br />Northern Improvement contract. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />12. SHERIFF'S OFFICE, Request for position approved <br />County Sheriff Jesse Jahner was present and said the Kindred School District has requested a full- <br />time School Resource Deputy for the school year beginning in August of 2023. He said currently, <br />Kindred School District splits time for School Deputy Services with the Mapleton School District. He <br />said authorizing a full time School Resource Deputy in Kindred leaves a School Resource Deputy in <br />Mapleton half time. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Kapitan moved and Mr. Grindberg seconded to approve the request for the <br />position. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />13. VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Kapitan moved and Mr. Grindberg seconded to approve Voucher No. 337593 <br />through Voucher No. 337761 for a total of $1,067,272.44. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />14. MEETING UPDATES, Committee reports <br />Commissioners and staff reported on meetings they have attended or will be attending in the <br />upcoming weeks. <br />15. ADJOURNMENT <br />MOTION, passed <br />On motion by Mr. Kapitan seconded by Mr. Breitling and all in favor, the <br />meeting was adjourned at 5:27 PM. <br />ATTEST: APPR• . .
