<br />Commission Minutes--December 1, 2003 2673 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />DECEMBER 1, 2003 <br /> <br />1. MEETING TO ORDER <br />Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: John Meyer, Robyn Sorum, Darrell Vanyo, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />The chairman asked John Meyer to lead the Pledge of Allegiance at this time. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the following additions: 1) maintenance contract with <br />Hobart Corporation; 2) purchase order for video conference equipment; <br />and 3) discussion with David Habiger on speed limit enforcement on <br />county road. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. BEER AND LIQUOR LICENSES, Renewed for 2004 <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to renew county beer and <br />liquor licenses for 2004 for the following applicants, subject to review <br />and approval by the State's Attorney, the Sheriff, and the respective <br />township boards: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Brenda Hocking, Club 94, Casselton <br />Richard and LaVonne Schroeder, Bronco Bar, Chaffee <br />Wild Rice Bar & Grill, Inc., Wild Rice <br />Jack Nick, LLC, Knickerbocker at Hickson <br />Red River Valley Fair Association, West Fargo <br /> <br />6. QUIT CLAIM DEED, Chairman authorized to sian <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to authorize the chairman to <br />sign a quit claim deed to Gregory D. Johnson for property located in <br />Fargo, North Dakota. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />7. SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED PROPERTY, Auditor authorized to offer properties to cities <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Meyer moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to authorize the county <br />auditor to offer any unsold property from the annual tax sale list to cities <br />for $1.00 per property, plus recording fee of $13.00, with the stipulation <br />that the county will cancel all taxes and the city will cancel all specials <br />against the property. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
