Commission Minutes-August 20, 2007 3260 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS AUGUST 20, 2007 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo, Robyn Sorum, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Michael Montplaisir led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the minutes of the last regular meeting held August 6, 2007, and minutes of the budget meetings held August 8, 10, and 13, 2007, as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the agenda with addition of a contract with the North Dakota Department of Transportation and three Lost Instrument Bonds to the consent agenda; and addition of a contract with SRF Consulting Group to the regular agenda. Motion carried. 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. a. Authorize the publication of the annual notice for weed cutting. b. Receive monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the month ended July 31,2007. c. Appoint Charlotte Sandvik as Cass County's delegate to the North Dakota Association of Counties convention to be held October 7-10, 2007, at the Ramkota Hotel, Bismarck, North Dakota, and to pay the registration from the commission budget. d. Approve omitted assessment according to notice sent to property owner by the county auditor. e. Approve a special event permit for alcoholic beverage sales by the Knickerbocker Liquor Locker at an outdoor parking lot concert and dance on September 7, 2007, from 7:00 PM to 2:00 AM, at the Knickerbocker Liquor Locker in Hickson, North Dakota. f. Contract approval North Dakota Highway Patrol-underage drinking enforcement grant in the amount of $5,000 (grant is 100% federal funded and requires no local match);
