November 7, 2022 Ms. Cindy Gray MetroCOG Executive Director Case Plaza Suite 232 1 2nd Street North Fargo, ND 58102 RE: City of Horace FY 2024 – 2025 Transportation Alternative Grant Application Dear Ms. Gray, Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Council of Governments (MetroCOG) is reviewing applications for the FY 2024–2025 Transportation Alternative (TA) Grant Application. The City of Horace is applying for this TA funding for Shared Use Paths (SUP) along Cass County Highway 17. Over the past several years Cass County has supported the City of Horace in constructing similar SUPs along Cass County Highway 17. We support the continued build out of this SUP network to access both newer and older developments within Horace and connect them to schools and commercial areas within the Cass Highway 17 corridor. The Cass County Board of Commissioners fully supports the funding and construction of these SUPs along Cass County roads within Horace. We ask MetroCOG to approve the applications for the Cass County Highway 17 SUP Phase 4 and Phase 5.
