Laney, Sheriff Robyn Sorum, Portfolio Commissioner Cass County Government Cass Count Courthouse Fargo, ND 58103 RECEIVED JUL 2020011 CA8S COUNTY CQMMI8SION Action Requested: Consent Agenda Commissioner Sorum: Sgt Judy Tollefson is currently attending the National FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia through the middle part of September. This is an excellent training opportunity for Sgt. Tollefson and Cass County. The course study will enhance her overall law enforcement skills and will further develop her supervisory abilities. This will benefit Cass County and my office for years to come. It also leaves one shift at the jail without a designated supervisor which I believe is necessary when coordinating and supervising 13 other deputies. I have elected to share those duties between two Correctional Officer Ills with each one serving as acting shift supervisor for five weeks. I am therefore requesting that Deputy Loretta Orvedal and Deputy Mike Kasprick receive temporary pay increases per County Policy 7.20. This would be from a B-32 to a C-43 pay grade as reflected on the Salary Request documentation submitted to the Personnel Office Sample Motion: Move to grant temporary pay increases per County Policy 7.20 to Deputy Loretta Orveda/ and Deputy Mike Kasprick as acting shift supervisor for a period of five weeks each.
