May 19, 2022 <br />68 <br /> <br /> <br />(k) Lot Access. <br />1. The Planning Commission may disapprove any point of ingress or egress to any lot, tract, <br />parcel, or development from any street or highway when the proposed ingress or egress <br />would create unsafe conditions, reduce the capacity of the adjoining street or highway, <br />result in substandard circulation and impaired vehicle movement, or if inconsistent with <br />county, township, city, state or other entity’s spacing requirements. <br />2. The Planning Commission may require the applicant to provide ingress and egress to a <br />particular lot or tract through the remainder of his property or other properties over which <br />he has control. <br />3. Lot access shall conform with the county’s one-quarter (.25) mile minimum spacing <br />requirements on all section line roads or roads classified as arterials by the County Engineer <br />and three hundred (300) feet on roads classified as collectors. <br />4. In approving ingress or egress from any State road or highway, the Planning Commission can <br />only approve those access points that are not in conflict with safety standards of the North <br />Dakota Department of Transportation.
