May 19, 2022 <br />20 <br /> <br />68. Level-of-Service. A measure of the effect of traffic on the capacity of a road. <br />69. Livestock. Beef cattle, dairy cattle, sheep, swine, poultry, horses, donkeys, bison, elk, fur <br />animals raised for their pelts, and any other animals that are raised, fed, or produced as a <br />part of farming or ranching activities. Livestock include alpacas, llamas, or other similar <br />animals typically raised for their fleece, fiber, or hair. <br />70. Lot. Any separately described area of land capable of having title conveyed. <br />71. Lot Area. The area contained within the property lines of the individual parcel of land, <br />excluding space within the street right-of-way. The lot area includes the area of any utility <br />easement or stormwater management facility. <br />72. Lot Depth. The average distance between the street right-of-way and the rear lot line, <br />measured perpendicular or radial to the right-of-way. <br />73. Lot Frontage. That side of a lot abutting on the street right-of-way and regarded as the front <br />of the lot. <br />74. Lot Line Marker. A metal plate or pin used to identify lot line intersections. <br />75. Lot of Record. A lot that has a clear description stemming from a document on file at the <br />County Recorder’s office. <br />76. Lot Width. The average distance between the side lot lines of a lot, measured parallel to the <br />right-of-way. <br />77. Major Subdivisions. See Subdivision. <br />78. Minor Subdivision. See Subdivision. <br />79. Mixed Use. A development that provides multiple compatible uses in close proximity to one <br />another. And/or a land use pattern that seeks to increase concentrations of population and <br />employment in well- defined areas with a mix of diverse and compatible land uses. <br />80. Mobile Home. A transportable, single-family dwelling intended for permanent occupancy, <br />contained in one unit, or in two or more units, designed to be joined into one integral unit <br />and capable of again being separated for repeated towing, which arrives at a site complete <br />and ready for occupancy except for minor and incidental unpacking and assembly <br />operations and constructed so that it may be used without a permanent foundation. The <br />term "manufactured home" may be used synonymously. <br />81. Monument. A concrete or stone monument used to identify street line intersections. <br />82. Municipal Governing Body. The Council in cities, the Board of Commissioners in townships, <br />the Board of County Commissioners, or any other similar body with the final decision- <br />making, budgeting, and appointing authority of a general-purpose unit of government. <br />83. Municipality. Any city, township, county, or other similar general-purpose unit of <br />government. <br />84. Non-Site Traffic. Vehicle trips passing within the study area as defined in the traffic impact <br />study that do not enter or exit the site and are generally the result of through traffic and <br />traffic generated by other developments. <br />85. Off-Street Parking. Parking spaces provided outside of the right-of- way of a street or <br />highway. <br />86. On-Street Parking. Parking spaces provided within the right-of-way of a street or highway. <br />87. Ordinance. The Cass County Subdivision Ordinance, as subsequently amended. <br />88. Parcel. A lot or combination of lots that are contiguous and under common ownership; may <br />or may not have a single tax parcel identification.
