<br />Commission Minutes-June 4, 2007 3208 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JUNE 4, 2007 <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Ken Pawluk, Robyn Sorum, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. Darrell Vanyo was <br />present via conference call. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Vern Bennett led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Bennett seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Bennett moved and Mr. Pawluk seconded to approve the consent <br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />a. Approve omitted assessment according to a notice sent to the property <br />owner by the county auditor. <br />b. Authorize payment of $4,000 as a settlement to Peter Doll on the sale of <br />land in Section 26, Howes Township, as a result of a tax-forfeiture <br />auction and upon receipt of a release from any further liability. <br />c. Approve abatement application #4294 for Cory and Renee Clasen be <br />lowered from $130,200 to $72,100 as recommended by the Director of <br />Equalization and in concurrence with the local assessor. <br />d. Approve continuation of Extension Services Family Nutrition Program <br />from October 1, 2007, to September 30, 2008, pending proposal <br />acceptance from state and federal partners. <br />e. Authorize chairman to sign a letter of commitment to a local match of <br />$3,625 for the "North Dakota Be Prepared Calendar Hazard Mitigation <br />Program" project. <br />f. Approve a special event permit for alcoholic beverage sales by O'Kelly's <br />Tastes & Toddies for a wedding reception at Bonanzaville, U.S.A. in <br />West Fargo, North Dakota, during the hours of 6:00 PM to 12:00 <br />midnight on June 9,2007. <br />g. Contract approval: <br />Braun Intertec-contract for pavement deflection testing and condition <br />survey for 2007 construction season. <br />
