'"
",'"
..'
","
.....
...'
"
,

March 12, 2007

Dear Mr. Klein;

Stanley Township is requesting that you review the 2005 and 2006 tax statements that are
for the property owners as Cory & Renee Clasen at Auditors Lot 4 of the NW ~ of
Section 31 of Stanley Township.

Stanley Township received abatement some weeks ago but it was denied because of the
ND tax code states that the structures on property even if ownership is different then land
owner, the land owner must pay the taxes for the year. Stanley Township has reviewed
this and has asked that you consider these conditions for your determination of the tax
total true value and full value of property.

These reasons are listed below:
1. The structure was not owned by Mr. Clasen because it was sold to allow him to
build his new home.
2. The structure had all the utilities disconnected for several months so it was not
livable.
3. It was not able to be moved offthe property because of spring conditions.
4. This allowed Stanley Township to remove a property from a flood risk area.
5. Allowed Stanley Township to have a property built to a much higher total true
and full value.
6. Green space is created between the new home and the river which is Cass County
future plan.

The Stanley Township Board of Supervisors has approved this request.
