THE PRIMARY HAZARDS THAT HAVE <br />RECEIVED A FOCUS AT THE STATE LEVEL ARE WINTER AND SUMMER STORMS, TORNADOES, RURAL <br />AND URBAN FIRE, CIVIL UNREST, CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL INCIDENTS, AND TERRORISM. <br /> <br />2. AL TERNA T1VES <br /> <br />>THE EFFECTS OF MANY HAZARDS ON INDIVIDUALS AND PROPERTY CAN BE REDUCED OR <br />ELIMINATED BY MITIGATORY ACTIONS TAKEN BY INDIVIDUALS BEFORE THE HAZARD'S IMPACT. TO <br />THE EXTENT THAT CITIZENS ARE INFORMED, CAN PREPARE AND CAN TAKE EMPLOY SIMPLE <br />MITIGATION STRATEGIES THEY CAN LESSEN THE IMPACT OF HAZARDS ON THEIR LIVES. <br /> <br />(describe a minimum of three possible means of solving the problem.
