<br />Commission Minutes-May 7,2007 3200 <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />MAY 7, 2007 <br /> <br />1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER <br />Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as <br />follows: Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo, Robyn Sorum, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. <br /> <br />2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br />Birch Burdick led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />3. MINUTES APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. AGENDA, Order approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Vanyo moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the <br />agenda with the addition of a contract with Mark Sand and Gravel <br />Company. Motion carried. <br /> <br />5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the consent <br />agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />a. Grant final plat approval to Oxbow Lift Station Subdivision, Section 31, <br />Township 138N, Range 48W, in Cass County, North Dakota. <br />b. Authorize the chairman to sign a grant application for a hazard <br />mitigation awareness project conducted by students and staff from the <br />NDSU Emergency Management program. <br />c. Approve abatement applications #4301 and #4302 for Clara Deboer be <br />reduced to $7,200 total true and full value, as recommended by the <br />Director of Equalization; and approve abatement application #4300 for <br />Ray and Peggy Bernard be reduced to $150,000 total true and full <br />value, as recommended by the Reed Township Board and the Director <br />of Equalization. <br />d. Discontinue spring load restrictions for Cass County highways on May <br />10,2007. <br />e. Authorize the chairman to sign a purchase order to LyCox Enterprises, <br />Inc. in the amount of $39,550 for two roller attachments to be installed <br />on Road Department motor graders. <br />f. Authorize the chairman to sign a rental agreement with New Holland <br />Corporation for two tractors to be used by the Road Department during <br />normal summer maintenance activities. <br />g. Approve raffle permit for the Cass County Historical Society to be held <br />December 10, 2007, at Bonanzaville U.S.A. in West Fargo, North <br />Dakota. <br />
