Commission Minutes-April 2, 2007 3188 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS APRIL 2, 2007 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Chairman Scott Wagner called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo, Robyn Sorum, Vern Bennett and Scott Wagner. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Bonnie Johnson led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Bennett moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the order of the agenda as amended with the addition of a request from the Veterans Service Officer to hold a fund raising event for the World War II "Honor Flight." Motion carried. 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED MOTION, passed Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Bennett seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. a. Approve presentation of a plaque to Richard Lewis upon his retirement and approve Resolution #2007-6, commending him for his 33 years of service with the Cass County Highway Department, as follows: RESOLUTION #2007-6 WHEREAS, Richard Lewis has worked for Cass County Government for 33 years with the Cass County Highway Department; and WHEREAS, Richard Lewis is a conscientious employee, who diligently served the citizens of Cass County during his employment; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That the Board of County Commissioners of Cass County does hereby congratulate Richard Lewis upon his retirement from county government; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be inscribed upon the permanent records of the proceedings of the Board of Cass County Commissioners and a copy be forwarded to Richard Lewis.
