T~." ~ <br /> <br />RE: Furniture and Supplies for New Jail Pods <br />ACTION REQUESTED <br /> <br />Commissioner Sorum: <br /> <br />At the last Sheriff Rotational Meeting held on December 4th, our office was asked to develop <br />a list of furniture and supplies for the new jail housing units. Major Ellingsberg has <br />completed this list and the current cost associated with these purchases. The furniture and <br />supplies were selected based on what is currently in use and compatible with our current <br />operations. <br /> <br />We are looking at a delivery date of Mayor early June as installation of some of the furniture <br />must be completed prior to occupying this new space. Ms. Johnson has stated that her staff <br />could do the installation which will save Cass County $7,600. <br /> <br />1 would ask that the commission approve the expenditure of Jail Building Funds so that Cass <br />County can outfit and provide those supplies necessary to operate the new jail housing units. <br /> <br />Sample Motion: <br /> <br />Move to authOrize the Sheriff to proceed with the purchase of the <br />furniture and supplies required to operate the new jail housing units <br />and that the expenditures be pmd out of the Jail Building Fund not to <br />exceed $100,000.00 <br /> <br />If there are any questions, please give me a call or you may contact Major Ellingsberg. <br /> <br />Q~.YLr <br /> <br />Paul D.
