Fargo, NO 58103 Dear Commission Members, On February 22, 2007 I attended a Board of Authority meeting at the Red River Regional Dispatch Center. A committee has been researching our current Computer Aided Dispatch/Record Management System (CAD/RMS). The committee made its report to the Board of Authority. The committee has determined a consultant must be hired to detenninc the extent of the needs tor all agencies involved. The RRRDC Board of Authority concurs with this recommendation. The recommended consultant is the Corban Group trom Vadnais Heights, Minnesota. The consultant fee is set not to exceed $25,371.75. The RRRDC Board of Authority has agreed to split the cost four (4) ways because each entity involved benefits equally trom the intormation gained and recommendations made trom the consultant. The tour entities are the Cass County Sheriffs Office. the Fargo Police Department. the Moorhead Police Department and the Clay County Sheriffs Office. The approximate cost to Cass County is approximately $6,400.00. This is money above and beyond money budgeted tor FY 2007. An analysis of our current expenditures and savings has shown the Sheriffs Office can absorb this cost into our current budget and we will not need to approach the County Commission tor additional funding.
