The information which relates to Cass County is focused primarily on Human/Social <br />Service Transportation. As part of a new Federal requirement non-DOT funded transportation <br />programs were included in the scope of work ofthe 2007-2011 Plan. A large portion of non-DOT <br />funded transportation is often under the oversight of county and state government; however has a <br />direct impact on the operation of municipal/urban transit systems. <br /> <br />You will also find attached the resolution Metro COG has forwarded for your consideration. If <br />interested Commission members are encouraged to the download the entire Draft 2007-2011 <br />Metro Transit Plan at www.fmmetrocog.org. <br /> <br />Getting your input and approval of a resolution for the 2007-2011 Metro Transit Plan is a <br />deviation from past tradition. This change is due in large part to the Federally mandated <br />coordinated human service element of the 2007-2011 Metro Transit Plan (titled as the Specialized <br />Transportation Plan, Chapter 10). <br /> <br />The Draft 2007-2011 Metro Transit Plan was reviewed by the Metro Area Transit (MAT) <br />Coordinating Board and has recommended your approval. <br /> <br />If you have questions ahead of please contact me directly.
