<br />INVESTIGATION OF ABATEMENT APPLICATION <br /> <br />ABATEMENT #4296 <br /> <br />Following is a report on the investigation of the abatement applications of: Todd & Kim Veen <br /> <br />Cass County Board of Commissioners and State Tax Commissioner: <br /> <br />The applicants are asking that the residential valuation of $231,5000 be reduced to $212,000 for <br />the year 2006 on Lot 1 Bk 1 F&L Subdivision Reed Twp. The applicants state that they <br />purchased the property for $210,000 on 11/05 and have submitted a preconstuction appraisal <br />listing the value at $212,000 as of May 18, 2005. The new residence is a 1,720 sq ft, 3 bedroom, <br />2.5 bath rambler with full basement, attached three stall garage and sunroom. <br /> <br />The Reed Twp Board recommended lowering the value 2% to $227,000. <br /> <br />I did speak to the homeowner and they are in agreement with the Reed Twp.
