The contract details out our responsibilities and their responsibilities regarding services to be provided over the contract term. The costs will be determined on a year-to-year basis and depends on the amount of professional hours needed to perform the contract. The costs over the past few years have been as follows: 2003 $ 9,816 2004 $10,140 2005 $ 9,205 The costs are expected to remain stable with some increases due to inflation. The state bills an hourly fee to cover salaries and other expenses. I have also contacted the State Auditor's Office and asked them to do the field work normally done in April to be done in January for the two offices changing department heads (recorder and sheriff) in January. There really isn't any additional work that they need to do-they just need to do the work closer to the time of change with the department heads.
