<br />Commission Minutes-November 20,2006 3145 <br /> <br />g. Authorize the chairman to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with <br />the State Health Department, Fargo Police Department and Sheriff's <br />Department regarding security for the Strategic National Stockpile <br />Program. <br />h. Contract approval: <br />Butler Machinery Company-scheduled maintenance service contracts <br />for generators at the courthouse, annex and jail; <br />Lease of county-owned flood lots in Chrisan Subdivision by Patrick <br />Scherling. <br />i. Appoint Commissioner Ken Pawluk to represent the commission chairman and <br />Assistant State's Attorney Reid Brady to represent the state's attorney on the <br />Cass County Recount Board for Legislative District 27 House of <br />Representatives race. <br /> <br />6. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Memorandum of aQreement with State Historic Preservation <br />Council <br />Keith Berndt, County Engineer, was present. He was just informed by his office that this <br />item was previously approved during his military leave. He said a bridge will be replaced in <br />2007 that crosses the Maple River on Cass County Highway 7. The bridge is eligible to be <br />on the National Register of Historic places and before the structure is removed using federal <br />funding, a report and photographic documentation is needed. He said no action is needed <br />today since the agreement with the State Historic Preservation Council was approved earlier <br />this year. <br /> <br />7. VOUCHERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve Voucher No. <br />212,130 through Voucher No. 213,053. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />8. SAFETY TRAINING; JOINT DISPATCH MEETING; MEETING UPDATES, Committee <br />reports <br />Mrs. Johnson said safety training for all county employees will be held on Thursday, <br />November 30, 2006, and Friday, December 1, 2006, at the Cass County Annex. The North <br />Dakota Association of Counties will conduct the training. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson said a joint dispatch meeting with area directors will be held Wednesday, <br />November 29, 2006, at the dispatch center. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss <br />options regarding the City of West Fargo becoming a member of joint dispatch. <br /> <br />Commissioners and staff reported on meetings they have attended in the past two weeks, <br />as well as upcoming meetings. <br /> <br />9. CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mrs. Sorum moved and Mr. Wagner seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: Motion carried. <br />
