PHSP4100703 SP 01 Ph 13 SCOPE OF WORK This grant entitles the Cass County Sheriff s Office funding to conduct enforcement activities within their community. Funding for this project is provided through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) under the authority of U S.c. 410 The objective of this enforcement project is 10 provide the public with the safest roads possible by removing the impaired driver. The success of this project will be built upon the strategy that education, along with high-visibility enforcement, is an effective means to change driver behavior. The Cass County Sheriff's Office will conduct targeted saturation patrols and/or checkpoints to detect activities and apprehend alcohol- and drug-impaired drivers These enforcement activities will be conducted at least once each quarter throughout the fiscal year. The Cass County Sheriff's Office will also participate at least four nights during the national crackdown campaign.
