RECEIVED OCT 2 2006 CASS COUNlY COMMISSION TO: FROM: DATE: RE: County Commissioners, County Agents, & County Fairs North Dakota State Fair September 29, 2006 Appointment of North Dakota State Fair Delegates Our State's Century Code specifies that State Fair delegates be appointed annually, and that each County have three delegates appointed and invited to the State Fair Association's Annual Meeting. One Delegate is to be appointed by the County Ag Agent, one by the County Fair Board, and one by the County Commissioners. If there is no County Fair, the Commissioners are to appoint two. Please send us the names and addresses of your appointed delegates by Friday, October 13, 2006, so that we may invite them to our November 16, 2006 meeting to be held at 1:00 pm in the Missouri Ballroom at the Ramkota in Bismarck. As a reminder, we need the signature of the person nominating the delegate. Nominations may be sent by mail or fax (emails will not be accepted). We also ask that you please find us interested delegates. Some previously appointed delegates have never attended our meeting. If one of our nine directors is from your County, you may want to give that person special consideration. Failure to reappoint one of our directors as a delegate will make them ineligible for re-election. We have exhibitors showing at the North Dakota State Fair from every County. Exhibitors from your area want to be properly represented at our Annual Meeting by your appointed delegates. Your cooperation is most appreciated.
