Commission Minutes-September 5,2006 3123 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS SEPTEMBER 5, 2006 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Chairman Vern Bennett called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Scott Wagner, Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo, Robyn Sorum and Vern Bennett. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Robyn Sorum led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the agenda as amended: add a contract with Morris Seal Coat & Trucking and add an easement between Cass County and the City of West Fargo. Motion carried. 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. a. Approve eleven omitted assessments according to notices sent to property owners by the county auditor. b. Approve a raffle permit for Hickson Church WELCA to be held October 14, 2006, at the Hickson Community Center in Hickson, North Dakota. c. Grant final approval of the following plats: Torgerson First Subdivision in Section 16, Township 137N, Range 50W; J Starr Subdivision in Section 26, Township 138N, Range 49W; and Lunder Subdivision in Section 32, Township 137N, Range 51W, all in Cass County, North Dakota. d. Approve the 2007-2008 Federal Aid Program Sheet as presented by Keith Berndt, County Engineer, and authorize the chairman to sign. e. Approve abatement #4293 for Steve Heier as recommended by Stanley Township and the Director of Equalization. f. Contract approval: Morris Seal Coat & Trucking-chip seal project in Holmen's Third Subdivision. g. Authorize the chairman to sign an easement with the City of West Fargo to install a water main on county property along Cass County Highway 10.
