Gibbs Recommendation

John and Sheila Gibbs at 4528 37th Ave North, Reiles Acres feel that there
assessment is high compared to a number of neighboring properties. Steve Perreault,
Reiles Acres assessor, made an on site inspection and reviewed information on the
neighboring properties. It appears that some improvements were made on neighboring
properties that weren't accounted for and that there were some size miscalculations.

I drove by the properties and visited with Sheila Gibbs. The taxpayers did not
appeal to the local board of equalization, so it is difficult to go back and correct any
neighboring assessments for 2006. In light of the situation, the taxpayers, the local
assessor, and I agree that the assessment should be reduced from $2 I 3,000 to $ I 93,000 to
make the assessment equitable. For 2007, the assessor indicates that he will review all
properties in the immediate neighoborhood and make any appropriate adjustments.

Suggested Motion: "I move that the assessment on 4528 37th Ave N, Reiles
Acres be reduced to $193,000; as recommended by the Director of Equalization and
the Reiles Acres City Assessor."
