The following has been clarified:
exiting is PERMITTED into a fenced area, but NOT REQUIRED. We will be
required to add the door to the exterior to meet exiting requirements
from smoke compartment 13 (H-Pod) but no fence is required to
contain/secure inmates.

Rochelle Conzemius, AlA
Foss Architecture & Interiors
810 First Avenue North
Phone: 701-282-5505
Fax: 701-232-5338
Direct: 701-478-4460 ext. 241

rochelle@fossarch.com

-----Original Message-----
) From: Johnson, Bonnie O. This
is an issue that may not have arisen in the past because in the existing
facility you have been able to utilize the adjacent smoke compartments
(ie adjacent pods) as holding areas in more than one direction.

I see that Torn has forwarded an additional list of items that call for
Jour attention, in addition to this item. When Rick returns next week it
may be a good course of action for us to sit down & review all of these
issues with you.

1
