<br />PROCLAMA nON <br /> <br />Whereas, dedicated telecommunication operators daily serve the citizens of <br />Cass County by answering their request for law enforcement, fire and <br />emergency medical services by dispatching the appropriate assistance as <br />quickly as possible; and <br /> <br />Whereas, the Congress of the United States, and the President of the United <br />States have established the second week of April as National <br />Telecommunications Week; and <br /> <br />Whereas, the professional public safety telecommunicator is that vital link <br />between the citizen or victim and the public safety provide who may <br />apprehend a criminal, save their possessions from fire, save their life or the <br />life of a loved one; and <br /> <br />Whereas, recognizing the services of the public safety telecommunicators is <br />in the best interests and safety of Cass County; and <br /> <br />Whereas, our Public Safety Communications personnel daily serve the <br />public in numerous ways without due recognition; <br /> <br />Now, Therefore, Cass County hereby proclaims April 9-15, 2006, to be <br />National Public Safety Telecommunication Week in Cass County and <br />encourage all citizens to join in this observance. <br /> <br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota this 3rd day of April, 2006. <br /> <br />Vem Bennett, Chairman <br />Cass County Board of Commissioners <br /> <br />Cass County Auditor <br />Cass County, North Dakota <br /> <br />M :IMIN UTES\Comm2006IPROCLAMA TION- TELECOMM UNICA TIONS WEEK.doc <br />
