We have finally agreed on the amount
P~~:~: 701.241.5845 of$60.00 per day which is the same rate charged other jurisdictions for housing individuals
Fax: 701.241.5938 within the Cass County Jail. The contract does have a medical deduction of $150.00 per
month which I would normally not recommend but since we are discussing parole violators
and not long term state inmates, I believe it is manageable. At present, we are housing these
parole violators without any reimbursement as they placed here under the authority of our
District Court. The state understands this and believes as I do, that some reimbursement is
justified.

I would ask that the commission approve this agreement and authorize the chair to sign a
contract with the State of North Dakota for parole violators.

Sample Motion:

"Move to authorize the chair to sign the agreement with the State of North Dakota.

Respectfully,

Donald J.
