This address was just east of Harwood a few miles
into our county. Your Deputy Craig Danielson heard the call and offered his assistance as
he was just a few miles away and our nearest Deputy was 25 miles away. Deputy Danielson
was the first to arrive on the scene and started CPR. Rescue squad and FM Ambulance also
arrived and Deputy Danielson continued to assist them. When I arrived some 20 minutes
later, he was still doing CPR. After about 20 minutes of doing CPR/ they were able to get
the mans heart beating again. FM transported him to the hospital, but later the man did
pass away. r received a call from the wife today wanting to thank me for the work that
Deputy Danielson provided. I informed her that Deputy Danielson was a Cass County Deputy
and I would inform his Sheriff of her gratitude. Would you please share with Deputy
Danielson my appreciation for his assistance in the incident. Deputy Danielson went above
and beyond his call of duty on this call and he should be commended for it. I don't know
if you give out any awards, but he deserves one if you do.

Sheriff Bill Bergquist
915 9th Avenue North
Moorhead, MN 56560
218-299-5155
