RECEIVED SIP 2 5 200) CASS COUNTY COMMISSION TO: FROM: DATE: RE: County Commissioners, County Agents, & County Fairs North Dakota State Fair September 22, 2003 Appointment of North Dakota State Fair Delegates Our State's Century Code specifies that State Fair delegates be appointed annually, and that each County have three delegates appointed and invited to the State Fair Association's Annual Meeting. One Delegate is to be appointed by the County Ag Agent, one by the County Fair Board, and one by the County Commissioners. :If there is no County Fair, the Commissioners a~e to appoint two. Please send us the names and addresses of your appointed delegates by Friday, October 10th either by mail or fax, so that we may invite them to our November 19, 2003 meeting to be held at 1:00 pm in the Norsk Room of the State Fair Center. Lunch will be served at 12:00 noon, prior to the meeting. We also please ask that you find us interested delegates. Some previously appointed delegates have never attended our meeting. If your County appoints one of our nine directors, you may want to give that person special consideration. Failure to reappoint one of our directors as a delegate will make them ineligible for reelection. '~ We have exhibitors showing at the North Dakota State Fair f£om eve~"i'C°unty.
