Commission Minutes-May 15, 2006 3068 REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS MAY 15, 2006 1. MEETING CALLED TO ORDER Chairman Vern Bennett called the meeting to order at 3:30 PM with all members present as follows: Scott Wagner, Vern Bennett, Ken Pawluk, Darrell Vanyo and Robyn Sorum. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Darrell Vanyo led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. MINUTES APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Vanyo moved and Mr. Wagner seconded that the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. 4. AGENDA, Order approved MOTION, passed Mr. Wagner moved and Mrs. Sorum seconded to approve the order of the agenda with the following additions: 1) grant a site authorization permit to Arthur W. Jones Post 7564 at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds beer garden; 2) accept the 2006 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance grant award and authorize the chairman to sign documents; 3) approve a raffle permit for the Cass County Historical Society. Motion carried. 5. CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED MOTION, passed Mr. Pawluk moved and Mr. Vanyo seconded to approve the consent agenda as follows: On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. a. Grant site authorization permits to conduct games of chance under license by the North Dakota Attorney General's Office for the period of July 1, 2006, through June 30, 2007, as follows: Veteran's Inc. at the Bronco Bar, Chaffee; Red River Human Services Foundation at the Wild Rice Bar & Grill, Wild Rice; Dokken & Schroeder Post 223 at Erie; The Arc, Upper Valley, Inc. at the Club 94, Casselton; and Arthur W. Jones Post 7564 at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds beer garden for the period of May 16, 2006, through June 30, 2006, and July 1, 2006, through June 30,2007. b. Approve a change in the polling location for precinct 27-03 from Meadow Ridge Bible Chapel to Red River Church for the 2006 Primary and General Elections. c. Authorize the chairman to sign the township road mileage certifications for 2006. d. Receive monthly financial statement from the Auditor's Office for the month ended April 30, 2006. e. Authorize the chairman to sign a purchase order for Information Technology in the amount of $21,876 from HP Direct for purchase of a replacement scanner/printer to be used by the Auditor's Office and Recorder's Office.
